[ARCHIVED] Update: AM/PM Homicide Investigation Leads to an Additional Arrest

Modesto, CA – Detectives continue their investigation into the events that led to the shooting death of 30-year-old Domonique Lewis on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at AM/PM on 5th Street. The information gathered through the investigation indicated that Lewis had met with two Hispanic males just prior to being shot.  


On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, Detectives arrested 20-year-old Angel Contreras in connection with this case.  Contreras was located in the Modesto area and has been charged with homicide.  An additional suspect, who has been identified as 28-year-old Junior Ramiro Suarez, was arrested in Modesto on Tuesday, August 21, 2018.  


Detectives have been working tirelessly to solve this homicide and with the help of Modesto’s SWAT and UAV teams, a search warrant was served at a residence in the 700 block of Sutter Avenue in an attempt to gain evidence and more information regarding this investigation.  Marshall Elementary School was placed on a precautionary lockdown, but it has since been lifted.
