Project Summary

Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at Orangeburg/Nelson, Rumble/Park Place, and Sylvan/Northampton.  Installation of light-emitting diode (LED) Stop Signs at Jefferson/Vine, Wylie/Rose, Rumble/Carver, and Poust/Chapparal.

Project Description

The Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) is a device using LED flashing beacons in combination with pedestrian warning signs, to provide a high-visibility strobe-like warning to drivers when pedestrians use an uncontrolled crosswalk.  The City will be installing these RRFBs at 3 locations throughout the City.  The City will also be installing LED flashing stop signs at 4 locations throughout the City.
