[ARCHIVED] Sunday Morning Investigation Deemed Murder-Suicide

At about 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning, dispatchers received a call from a man reporting three of his family members were deceased inside a residence in the 1800 block of Rancho Encantado Court.  Emergency personnel responded to the scene where they discovered the bodies of 28-year-old Lisandra Corrales, 6-year-old Pierre Hurtado and 4-year-old Nathan Hurtado.

The preliminary investigation suggests Corrales took the lives of her two children before turning a gun on herself.  Evidence at the scene indicates the incident took place shortly before the 9-1-1 was placed.  A motive has not yet been determined, as detectives continue their investigation into the events that led up to the deaths.
