[ARCHIVED] Amgen Tour of California Call for Vendors & Volunteers

Amgen

Nonprofit organizations and health-related businesses are invited to participate in the Amgen Tour of California Lifestyle Festival to be held May 15 in downtown Modesto.

Modesto is a host city for the renowned bicycle competition for the fifth time. Riders will take two laps through downtown about 11:45 a.m. before heading off to Patterson and then over several grueling hills to Santa Jose. In previous years, thousands of people gathered in Modesto to see the cyclists in person and in action. There is no admission charge for the Lifestyle Festival or to watch the bike race.

The host committee for Modesto will offer free 10-by-10-foot spaces for non-profits and health-related businesses to set up tents and tables to distribute information. No sales will be allowed.

The booth must be open at 9 a.m. and open until 1 p.m. on May 15. Vendors can set up between 6 and 8:45 a.m. that day. Booths will be located along the Gallo plaza and grass area on I street and possibly some on 11th close to I if more space is needed.

Vendors must provide their own tables and chairs as well as pop-up tents. April 15 is the deadline to reserve a space.  To reserve the space, contact Robert Dunbar at 209-578-3447 or by email.

The Local Organizing Committee is also looking for race day volunteers. Please register online if you are interested.
