On January 1, 2017, the City of Modesto implemented a new Water Rate Assistance Program that offers eligible residents a reduced monthly base service charge for water. Customers that meet the eligibility guidelines found online, will save $10 per billing cycle on the base rate charged. Customers who are enrolled in the Senior/Disabled Assistance Program, who are currently receiving program assistance are not considered eligible.
The Water Rate Assistance Program application is available online or at the customer service department, located at 1010 10th St. Modesto, 2nd floor, Ste. 2100. All completed applications and required documents should be mailed or hand delivered to the Central Valley Opportunity Center (CVOC) located at 1581 Cummings Dr. Ste. 100, Modesto. Processing will take 4-6 weeks from the time the application is submitted. Program participation lasts for two years. For more information, call 209-577-5395.
