Intersection of Kansas Avenue and Carpenter Road

Traffic Impacts

Emergency lane closure: Thursday August 25th to install a signal pole. 
Two lanes for NB Carpenter Road closed at the Bridge along with the westbound traffic lanes narrowed to allow equipment along with MID.  

This closure will begin around 6:00 p.m. The signal should be operational by Friday 26th morning.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

State Route 132 West Freeway Expressway Phase 1 Project

Traffic Impacts

  • The Southbound 99 off ramp at Maze 132 (L Street) is currently under a long term full closure. Southbound motorists will be asked to exit at the following "Central Modesto" exit.
  • The  SR 99 NB on-ramp at L Street is fully closed for the construction of a new NB SR 99 general purpose auxiliary lane and on-ramp. Motorists wishing to enter NB 99 at this location will be detoured to the NB 99 on-ramp at I Street. 

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons

Project Status

Work is in progress.  Project is expected to be completed by the end of December 2022.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Prescott Road from Standiford Avenue to Orangeburg Avenue 
  • Tully Road from Standiford Avenue to Bangs Avenue  

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Sutter Sanitary Sewer Trunk Rehabilitation Project, Phase 1

Project Status

Work is in progress.  Project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2022.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs will be in place:

  • Linden Street will be closed to through traffic.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Paradise Road Pavement Rehabilitation

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2022.  

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  •  Paradise Road from Carpenter Road to Sheridan Street

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Upgrade to ATMS 2019

Project Status 

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of October 2022.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Standiford Avenue from Sisk Road to Oakdale Road
  • Briggsmore Avenue from Sisk Road to Oakdale Road

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Ralston Tower Park

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2022.

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs will be in place:

  • Downey Avenue between H Street & McHenry

River Trunk Realignment Gravity System Project

Project Status

Potholing for existing utilities.  

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs will be set up with minor traffic control at various locations:

  • Colorado Avenue between Garden Avenue & Tuolumne Boulevard  

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

Pelandale Neighborhood & Virginia Corridor Trail Pavement Maintenance

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2022.  

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Dale Road & Tully Road north of Snyder Avenue to Bangs Avenue 
  • Virginia Avenue & Olive Avenue north of Needham Street to Roseburg Avenue

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.

New Jennings Water Quality Control Plant Entrance/Exit Project

Project Status

Work is in progress. Expected to be completed by the end of October 2022.

Traffic Impacts

  • The signal lights at the intersection of Jennings Road and Wastewater Treatment Facility, are in yellow flash.
