State Route 132 West Freeway Expressway Phase 1 Project

Project Status

Traffic Impacts

  • The Southbound 99 off ramp at Maze 132 (L Street) will have a full closure.  
  • Southbound motorists will be asked to exit at the following "Central Modesto" exit.




New Jennings Water Quality Control Plant Entrance/Exit Project

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2021

Traffic Impacts

Construction signs will be in place for the road closure:

  • Jennings Road has been re-opened to motorists.
  • Motorists to be advised of a new traffic signal installed.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.




2016 Pavement Rehabilitation Project

Project Status 

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of July 2021.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • J Street between 9th Street and 16th Street - Floating Lane Closure, 5-10 minute delay.
  • La Loma between James Street and Yosemite Avenue - Floating Lane Closure, 5-10 minute delay.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.




Street Improvements Southbound McHenry Avenue to Westbound Briggsmore Avenue    

Project Status 

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2021.

Traffic Impacts 

Construction area signs will be in place:

  • Lane closures will be in place on Southbound McHenry Avenue from Tokay Avenue to Briggsmore Avenue.
  • Lane closures will be in place on Briggsmore Avenue east and west of McHenry Avenue.
  • Non-signalized driveways on McHenry Avenue between Tokay Avenue and Briggsmore Avenue will be closed,
    driveways on Briggsmore Avenue will remain open and accessible.
  • Sidewalks will be closed in the area, and detour signage for alternate bike and pedestrian routes will be in place.

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.




Scenic Drive Pavement Rehabilitation Phase 1 Project

Project Status

Work is in progress. Project is expected to be completed by the end of December 2021.

Traffic Impacts

Traffic control will be in place:

  • Scenic Drive from Lakewood Avenue to Claus Road

Motorists are advised to drive slowly with caution and use alternate routes when possible.
