The Water Engineering Design team is responsible for the design of water system improvements, including, but not limited to upsizing, replacing, and rehabilitating infrastructure within the 7 separate water systems the City owns and operates. the City's water infrastructure consists of over 85 active groundwater wells, approximately 1,000 miles of water main pipelines, and 13 active storage tanks containing 22.25 million gallons of combined storage capacity. This team is innovative and efficient in all areas of improving the City's water system, as it supplies water to communities within the Stanislaus County, which include Modesto, Empire, Salida, Del Rio, Grayson, and portions of Ceres and Turlock.
