4. When does City Council meet?: The Modesto City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Meetings are not held on the third or fifth Tuesday, unless a special meeting is called by City Council. View the meeting calendar online.

5. When are the City of Modesto elections held?: Regular municipal elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd-numbered year. Candidate packets are ready shortly after July 1, approximately 4 months before the November election. Call 209-577-5397 in June for the exact date.
