4. When does City Council meet?

The Modesto City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Meetings are not held on the third or fifth Tuesday, unless a special meeting is called by City Council. View the meeting calendar online.

5. When are the City of Modesto elections held?

Regular municipal elections are held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of each odd-numbered year. Candidate packets are ready shortly after July 1, approximately 4 months before the November election. Call 209-577-5397 in June for the exact date.
