We want to hear from you!  Join us at a Community Listening Session regarding professional soccer in Modesto and possible stadium location.

The City of Modesto will be hosting Community Listening sessions to give our residents an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback regarding professional soccer in Modesto and the proposed stadium locations.  Below is some background information for your review and the upcoming Community Listening Sessions as well as the next Special City Council Workshop on this topic. 

Background:

• On September 10, 2024, The United Soccer Leagues, LLC (USL) and the City of Modesto began exploring preliminary discussions, through a letter of intent, intended to establish a professional soccer team to be housed in a multi-purpose stadium to be constructed and operated in Modesto. Since September, the City has worked diligently to narrow down the potential sites for stadium development in Modesto.
• On March 26, 2025, the Modesto City Council hosted a Special Workshop to continue the community discussion on the expansion of the USL into the City of Modesto including the discussion of three potential locations for a stadium.  
• On June 25, 2025, the Modesto City Council hosted an additional workshop to continue the community discussion on the analysis of two potential stadium locations: Downtown - North, Modesto Centre Plaza area and West Modesto, the Municipal Golf Course.  The City Council requested more time to gather information and some additional community feedback. For more information, view the PowerPoint presentation that was shared at the workshop on June 25th.

 The Community Listening sessions are scheduled for the following dates:

• July 28, 2025, at 5:30pm, King Kennedy Center - 601 S MLK Drive 95351

• July 29, 2025, at 5:30pm, Greens on Tenth – 953 10th Street 95354

Next Special City Council Workshop:

• August 5, 2025, at 8:30 am, Modesto Centre Plaza
