The City of Modesto needs resident participation on Boards, Commissions, and Committees.  These Citizen Advisory Groups have positions that help the City Council make informed and vital policy decisions.  The City Council Members have to make tough decisions that impact our community, so resident input is essential to the success of local government. 

The City Council values community trust and strives to make decisions with objectivity and transparency while making decisions that benefit all residents in Modesto.  The City has a diverse list boards, commissions, and committees, from the Culture Commission to the Blight Abatement Advisory Committee; there

Like City Council meetings, meetings for the boards, commissions, and committees are open to the public, and public participation is encouraged.  The agendas and minutes from these meetings are posted on the City of Modesto’s website.
