Safe Streets for All, Setting the Stage for Safety Change

Modesto Safe Streets for All Virtual Community Workshops

The City of Modesto will hold a series of three virtual community engagement workshops to discuss its recently launched Modesto Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Program. The Modesto SS4A Program will develop a holistic strategy to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries in partnership with the community and stakeholder groups, resulting in a Safety Action Plan and Pilot Safety Messaging Campaign. These steps will position Modesto to fund improvements, change unfavorable behaviors, and implement lasting safety changes citywide.

We need your feedback!

The first workshop will provide an overview of the project, share findings on Modesto’s existing roadway safety conditions, and invite attendees to share and document their transportation safety needs and priorities. Subsequent workshops will provide opportunities for the community to share feedback on draft infrastructure recommendations and the draft Safety Action Plan. Spanish interpretation will be provided at all workshops. Scheduling information for the first community workshop is provided below. Details on the second and third workshops will be provided in 2025.
