Dear Stakeholders,

I am pleased to share an update on the development of our Economic Development Strategic Plan (EDSP). 

Progress to Date

Stakeholder Meetings: We've conducted several productive meetings with key stakeholders, gathering critical feedback and insights to guide our strategy.  

Community Forums: Multiple forums have been successfully held to engage the public and collect valuable insights.  

Preliminary Draft: A Preliminary Administrative Outline of the EDSP is now in place, reflecting all the feedback and data we’ve collected so far. We anticipate hosting a stakeholder meeting in December to review a draft and gather additional input.

Tentative Timeline of Next Steps

December: Release the Public Review Draft and host a public meeting/workshop for review.  

January: Finalize the plan based on feedback to develop the 100% Proposed Plan.  

March: Present the finalized plan to Modesto’s Economic Development Committee.  

April: Submit the EDSP for City Council review and consideration.
