[ARCHIVED] UPDATE 5/1: Public Access to City Buildings Restricted

The City had previously announced that May 3 was the tentative date for reopening, but it has become increasingly clear the date must be moved.

Our comfort level in reopening must – first and foremost – be based on whether we can keep our employees and our public safe, and whether, by reopening, we’re somehow putting the City at even greater risk of the disease.

In coordination with the County, our new target is May 18, but that date will only stand if we can put the necessary precautions in place, and we’re developing those standards now.

City staff will continue to be available to the public during this challenging time, and the community can still access help by calling City Hall (209-577-5200), or by using our self-service features on our website.

For now, please remain attentive to your health and the well-being of those you serve at home and at work.
