The Blight Abatement Advisory Committee (BAAC) is interested in your ideas for how we can make our city and communities more beautiful.
The BAAC is a group of nine residents of Modesto and Stanislaus County who provide recommendations to the Modesto City Council on blight solutions, improvement and beautification efforts, and upcoming projects. In July, City Council allocated $50,000 from the America Rescue Plan Act to the BAAC to promote and fund their blight abatement goals. They are now calling on Modesto residents to provide information and insights into how to enact those goals. Do you have ideas on how to get the word out on blight programs? Are you active in your neighborhood and want to share your experiences? Do you want to be part of the conversation on making Modesto’s community more engaged and more beautiful?
