City of Modesto have a franchise agreement with two solid waste companies: Gilton Solid Waste Management and Bertolotti Disposal.
Pickup
Solid waste collection hours from 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM in residential areas. Your solid waste company is determined by which street you live on.
Holidays
Garbage companies take only four (4) holidays per year:
- New Years Day
- 4th of July
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
These holidays may cause your garbage service to be delayed by one day during the appropriate week.
Service Areas
The City of Modesto contracts with Gilton Solid Waste Management and Bertolotti Disposal Service for all garbage and recycling collection services. Each company has an exclusive service area as deemed by the Modesto City Council
