Joint Powers Authority, Commission

Tuolumne River Regional Park (TRRP) Joint Powers Authority (JPA) serves as the overarching entity that oversees the development of the Tuolumne River Regional Park. It is comprised of three different municipalities, City of Modesto, City of Ceres, and Stanislaus County. All three municipalities border the Tuolumne River and collectively own and manage park land along the river. Representatives from each entity form a commission who are tasked with the acquisition, development, maintenance, and operation of the Tuolumne River Regional Park. The commission regularly host public meetings to discuss updates on the Tuolumne River Regional Park.   

Citizens Advisory Committee

Tuolumne River Regional Park Citizens Advisory Committee serves as the citizen advisory body for the Tuolumne River Regional Park including the acquisition, development, maintenance, and operation of park. Committee members are appointed by their respective legislative bodies and serve at their legislator’s direction.  

Managing Partner

The City of Modesto is the managing partner for the Tuolumne River Regional Park and is responsible for the daily operations and master planning of the Tuolumne River Regional Park. This is in part because most public access points to the parkway falling within the City of Modesto limits.
