Destination Modesto Task Force
The purpose of Destination Modesto was to: Seek out and identify all existing and potential tourist/business/visitor destinations in our region, Develop a vision for coordinating and marketing all of our assets and destinations, Develop a business plan and strategies to enable these to grow and thrive, Garner research from model agencies and best practices to create an organizational framework custom-made to be successful for Modesto, and Report back to City Council with findings and recommendations.

Disabled Access Appeals Board
The Disabled Access Appeals Board hears and rules on appeals of Chief Building Official orders based on disabled access laws; and interprets and advises staff on disabled access laws.

Downtown Improvement District Board
The Downtown Improvement District (DID) Advisory Board formulates recommendations relating to downtown issues including the use of revenues.

Entertainment Commission
The Entertainment Commission is responsible for overseeing the entertainment permit process, including dance and processing of special event requests within the City of Modesto.

The Equal Opportunity/Disability Commission's primary responsibility is to advise and assist the City Manager and staff in matters that relate to equal opportunity and individuals with disabilities.
