Installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) at Carver/Teresa, Emerald/Maze, Rumble/Bay, Tully/Hetch Hetchy, Prescott/Hetch Hetchy, Rumble/Wales, College/Morris, College/Terminal and Coldwell/Campus

Project Description

The Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) is a device using light emmitting diode (LED) flashing beacons in combination with pedestrian warning signs, to provide a high-visibility strobe-like warning to drivers when pedestrians use an uncontrolled crosswalk.  The City will be installing these RRFBs at 10 school locations throughout the City.
