Reopening Updates

Department Update

Stanislaus County & the State of California has issued new Covid-19 guidelines identifying that youth and adult sport leagues can resume organized play.  The City of Modesto is now accepting reservations for the following fields Beyer Community Park softball fields, Davis Community Park hardball and softball fields, Pike Park soccer field and Mildred Perkins Park soccer field. Reservations will be first come, first serve, and are now being accepted. Reservations can be made by contacting the Parks, Recreation and Neighborhoods Department, at 209-577-5344 or email Customer Service

We will continue to work toward making more fields available to rent.  As additional fields become available, we will update our website and notify the public via social media (Facebook & Instagram, @modestoparksandrec)

At this time, we are not accepting reservations for Community Centers, picnic pavilions, open spaces for special event or large gatherings.  The new guidance only includes youth and adult sport organizations.  For more information on the current guidelines, please visit California Department of Public Health.

In compliance with State of California and County Guidance for Youth and Adult Sports, outdoor moderate-contact sports can be played in the purple or red tier with an adjusted case rate equal to or less than 14 per 100,000.

The following guidelines must be met to help ensure the safety of all coaches and participants.
