Analysis of Performance*

Metric Definition*

Information Technology Department measures its success not only on the number of projects and services completed but also by the amount of effort that is required to complete each project.

It is important to right size staffing needs based upon the number of projects and the amount of effort required to complete each project.  As project requests increase, the number of resources required will increase.

Impact on Performance*

As new projects and completed and new products are deployed, the maintenance of systems are ongoing.  Additional resources are required as new technology is added to the City's System Portfolio.
