The Modesto City
Council adopted a Mobile Home Rent Stabilization
Ordinance (ORDINANCE NO. 3451-C.S.) in October 2007.
Pursuant to this ordinance, all mobile home parks within
the Modesto city limits, that have not entered into a
Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Modesto,
may increase their rents 100% of the Consumer Price
Index (CPI) based on the Western Region CPI, but not
more than 6% of the base rent annually. The City
of Modesto must notify the public of the CPI increase on
an annual basis by posting a Rent Increase Notice by
April 30, of each year.
