Road Repair Update

PROJECT:
Sylvan Avenue and Litt Road Improvements
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls with one narrow lane in each direction are in place along Sylvan Avenue from Millbrook Avenue to Claus Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
Note: Litt Road north of Sylvan Avenue to Plainview Road is closed and will reopen July 2013.

PROJECT:
Carpenter Road Bridge Seismic Retrofit
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for November 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls are in place with narrow lanes. Drivers should expect delays. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible. Oversized and Wide Load Vehicles should use alternate routes.

PROJECT:
Safety Project by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is on hold. Project completion is expected for late-July 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be along Claratina Avenue from McHenry Avenue to Coffee Road and along McHenry Avenue from Claratina Avenue to Bangs Avenue. Traffic will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers or intermittently closed on Claratina Avenue and lane restrictions on McHenry Avenue. Daytime work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nighttime work will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.  Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

Sanitary Sewer Collection System Replacement
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be ongoing with traffic controls, flaggers and restrictions. Contractor is working at Glenbrook Way and Springcreek Drive which will continue for approximately four weeks. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.

Gas Main Work by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for late-June 2013.
IMPACT:
Bangs Avenue from Dale Road to McHenry Avenue will be restricted with 24 hour traffic control and shoulder work. Daytime work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Nighttime work will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

Hilltop Area Strengthen and Replace Water System
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for June 6, 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be ongoing with traffic controls and restrictions. Impacted roads include: Paradise Road, Carpenter Road, Ohio Avenue, Dunning Lane, Regal Road, Ridge Road, Hilltop Lane, and Robertson Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.

CVIN Fiber Optic Underground Placement Project
STATUS:
Work is in progress in multiple areas. Project completion is expected for late-July 2013.
IMPACT:
AREA 1: Southbound College Avenue from Orangeburg Avenue to Needham Avenue and westbound Needham Avenue from McHenry Avenue to College Avenue.
AREA 2: H Street from 18th Street to 11th Street and 11th Street from Needham Avenue to H Street.
AREA 3: La Loma Avenue from James Street to Miller Avenue.
Traffic will be restricted to one lane traffic and shoulder work. Work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.
