Road Repair Update

PROJECT:
Sylvan Avenue and Litt Road Improvements
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls with one narrow lane in each direction are in place along Sylvan Avenue from Millbrook Avenue to Claus Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
Note: Litt Road north of Sylvan Avenue to Plainview Road is closed and will reopen July 2013.

PROJECT:
Carpenter Road Bridge Seismic Retrofit
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for June 2013.
IMPACT:
Traffic controls are in place with narrow lanes and restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers.  Drivers should expect delays from Monday, April 29th thru Friday, May 3rd. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible. Oversized and Wide Load Vehicles should use alternate routes.

PROJECT:
Safety Project by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for May 2013.
IMPACT:
Claratina Avenue from McHenry Avenue to Coffee Road will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers or intermittently closed. Work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.  Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

Sanitary Sewer Collection System Replacement
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for August 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be ongoing with traffic controls, flaggers and restrictions along the alley between Princeton Avenue and Trinity Avenue from Notre Dame Avenue to Tully Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.

Gas Main Work by PG&E
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for May 2013.
IMPACT:
Bangs Avenue from Dale Road to McHenry Avenue will be restricted to alternating, one-way traffic control with flaggers and shoulder work. Work will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Motorists are advised to proceed with caution and pay attention to signage. Drivers should expect to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays. Electronic message board signs are in place to alert drivers of the upcoming road work. For further information about this work contact PG&E directly at (559) 317-8857.

Hilltop Area Strengthen and Replace Water System
STATUS:
Work is in progress. Project completion is expected for June 6, 2013.
IMPACT:
Work will be ongoing with traffic controls and restrictions on Paradise Road from Vernon Ave to Ohio Ave and on Carpenter Road from Robertson Road to Paradise Road. Traffic controls and flaggers will be in place. Other impacted roads include: Dunning Lane, Regal Road, Ridge Road, Hilltop Lane, and Robertson Road. Motorists are requested to travel slowly through the work zone and use alternate routes when possible.
