Utility Bills Mailed to Incorrect Addresses


On Tuesday, June 17, 2014, City staff discovered a processing error by the City’s outside mailing service which inadvertently resulted in 1200 utility bills being sent to incorrect addresses.  Staff immediately corrected the problem by reprinting the bills and sending them to the correct customers.  In addition, the attached letter was included in the new bills explaining the problem, the steps taken to correct the issue and that the City will monitor these accounts for unusual activity.  Anyone with question may contact a Customer Services Representative at (209) 577-5395 or visit our website at modestogov.com
