City is Seeking Applicants to the Disabled Access Appeals Board


The City of Modesto is seeking applicants to fill vacancies on the Disabled Access Appeals Board. Upon recommendation by the Economic Development Committee, selected applicants will be appointed by the City Council to a four-year term.

The Disabled Access Appeals Board hears and rules on appeals of Chief Building Official orders based on disabled access laws; and interprets and advises staff on disabled access laws.

The Disabled Access Appeals Board meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 4:00p.m. at Tenth Street Place, 1010 Tenth Street, Modesto.

Applications may be acquired from the City Council’s Office at 1010 Tenth Street, Suite 6200, by phone at (209) 571-5169, or online at http://www.modestogov.com/council/boards/.  Applicants must be registered to vote in the City of Modesto. Applicants for this committee are required to complete a financial disclosure statement. (Statement of Economic Interests – Form 700) under State of California laws.

Applications will be accepted through January 17, 2014 and are maintained for at least one year.
