    City of Modesto offers waste tire recycling every other month of the year for City of Modesto residents. The program is funded by a grant from the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle).

  2. Waste Tire Amnesty Recycling Events

    February 1, 2020, 8:30 AM - February 29, 2020, 4:30 PM @ Bertolotti Disposal - 231 Flamingo Drive, Modesto, CA 95358

    With a coupon, City of Modesto residents will be able to recycle up to nine tires, at no cost, per each amnesty event. Residents will self-haul their car, truck or motorcycle tires to our local waste hauler, Bertolotti Disposal. We do not accept tractor or commercial truck tires. The Solid Waste office is open weekdays from 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM, or you may call and request to have a coupon mailed to you directly. Address verification will be required in order to receive a coupon. In addition, we will be available by phone to answer any specific questions about the program or eligibility by calling 209-577-5494.

    A hot nutritious lunch is available at the Modesto Senior Center for county seniors by Stanislaus County Senior Nutrition Program. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance of lunch by calling 209-480-4337. Today's scheduled lunch is: Meatloaf (beef), Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Peas and Carrots, Pineapple Chunks, Whole Wheat Roll with Margarine.

    Social Bridge is a card game using a standard 52-card deck. It is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners (you do not have to bring a partner) sitting opposite each other around a table in a safe and social environment for players to test and learn new skills.

    A board game of strategic skill for two players, played on a checkered board. Each player begins the game with sixteen pieces that are moved and used to capture opposing pieces according to precise rules. The object is to put the opponent's king under a direct attack from which escape is impossible (checkmate).
