  1. Downtown Master Plan Design Charrette Opening Presentation

    September 30, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Greens on Tenth

    The City of Modesto will host a week-long Design Charrette as part of the Downtown Modesto Master Plan process from Monday September 30 through Friday October 4. All of the Design Charrette activities will take place at Greens on Tenth, 953 Tenth St. in downtown Modesto. The Design Charrette is open to the public and free to attend. There will be an opening presentation and exercise from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, Open Studio hours in morning and afternoon on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to review design concepts, brown bag lunch discussions on Tuesday and Wednesday, and a Pinup/Pop Up from 6:00-7:30pm Wednesday where design concepts will be staged. The closing presentation will be from 4:30-6:00pm Friday. This is an interactive opportunity to take part in the downtown planning process. We hope you will participate in the events and activities.     A hot nutritious lunch is available at the Modesto Senior Center for county seniors by Stanislaus County Senior Nutrition Program. Reservations are required at least one (1) business day in advance of lunch by calling 209-480-4337.     A lower impact, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired dance fitness party that keeps you in the groove of life. Due to the popularity of this class, pre-registration in the Senior Center Office is required. Beginning June 10, 2019, there will be two sessions of Zumba Gold offered on Mondays and Thursdays. You may only register for one session per day.

    Social Bridge is a card game using a standard 52-card deck. It is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners (you do not have to bring a partner) sitting opposite each other around a table in a safe and social environment for players to test and learn new skills.

    A board game of strategic skill for two players, played on a checkered board. Each player begins the game with sixteen pieces that are moved and used to capture opposing pieces according to precise rules. The object is to put the opponent's king under a direct attack from which escape is impossible (checkmate).
