    City of Modesto offers waste tire recycling every other month of the year for City of Modesto residents. The program is funded by a grant from the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle).

  2. Waste Tire Amnesty Recycling Events

    With a coupon, City of Modesto residents will be able to recycle up to nine tires, at no cost, per each amnesty event. Residents will self-haul their car, truck or motorcycle tires to our local waste hauler, Bertolotti Disposal. We do not accept tractor or commercial truck tires. The Solid Waste office is open weekdays from 8:30 AM through 4:30 PM, or you may call and request to have a coupon mailed to you directly. Address verification will be required in order to receive a coupon. In addition, we will be available by phone to answer any specific questions about the program or eligibility by calling 209-577-5494.
