Metric Definition*


The percentage change in the annual total number of volunteer hours logged.  Logged volunteer hours are actual hours volunteered and recorded by the Parks Recreation & Neighborhoods department Volunteer Coordinator on the day of the event.

Importance*


Changes in this measure indicate how effective the Parks Recreation & Neighborhoods department 
Volunteer Coordinator is at getting volunteers to our events.

Secondly, this measures the level of engagement by citizens toward City sponsored events and causes; it also functions as an secondary indicator of how well we market these events.

Impact on Performance*


A steady supply of volunteer hours has a substantial effect on the success of City sponsored events.  A increase in volunteer hours indicates that we are reaching our citizens with events and causes that are of interest to them.  Lastly, this measures functions as a secondary indicator of how well we market these events.
