The measures shows the effectiveness of the City's safety programs, training and prevention efforts relative to Worker's Comp.

Metric Definition*

The rate is calculated by comparing the cost of Worker's Comp per $100 of payroll.


Worker's Comp costs also reflect loss of productivity in the workforce as well as the overall effectiveness of the Safety program in preventing injuries.

Impact on Performance*

The City strives to reduce avoidable injuries and maintain a safe work environment for it employees.
