Fire Measures

The Fire Department is responsible for effectiveness in response time to fires, response times to emergency calls, and ability to prevent property loss.
  1. Fire - Emergency Unit Arrival Time

Quick response times mean that fire-rescue staff reduce the potential for fire loss and respond to medical/rescue calls within critical time frames for delivering patients to definitive care. Rapid response has the potential to limit costs to residents, the community, the health care system and other responding agencies.

  3. Fire - Property Losses

Minimizing the loss of real property through quick responses and efficient fire suppression is beneficial to both property owners and the city. Loss prevention reduces the amount fire victims will have to spend replacing lost property, minimizes insurance payouts for damages, and decreases the amount of time it might take for businesses/families to reoccupy. This helps the City by reducing the time it takes for businesses and families to recover and continue to contribute to the city economy.
